Sunday January 5th. Light snow returns to Barnfield Sandbeds. Struggle to walk with a horrible virus!
Friday 10th January. Two days of very hard frost. Walk the fields behind Barnfield Sandbeds where flocks of Redwing gather. In the evening go to Villa Park for third round cup match against West Ham; Villa’s 150th anniversary game, with a new shirt to mark the occasion.
Saturday January 11th. Even deeper frost this morning, walking the field.
Monday January 14th. Walk to Belvide, seeing more Fieldfare.
Thursday January 16th. Belvide reservoir on a foggy day that clears for bright sunshine.
Thursday January 24th. Snowdrops in the churchyard and a backlit Oak in the fields behind the Sandbeds in evening light.
Saturday January 25th. A new walk along the Cannock Extension Canal on a very cold frosty morning.
Tuesday January 28th. Great sunset over Cresswell Lane taken by Julie.
Wednesday January 29th. Villa v Celtic in the Champions League. Fabulous win!
