Thursday July 2nd. A summer visit to the very splendid Senneleys Park, seeing rewilded meadows hosting an array of butterflies, including pristine Marbled White. Never seen the park look so good! Lunch at the Bell in the churchyard.
Friday July 3rd. To the golden barley fields of Albrighton.
Tuesday 14th July Visit Chasewater Lake for a hot walk seeing deer.
Thursday 16th July. Once more to the golden barley fields of Albrighton.
Saturday 18th July. Visit Brindley Place in Birmingham and then to the library for urban views.
Tuesday 21st July. My annual visit to our pre-season opener against Walsall. Good to see so many promising youngsters. An easy 5-0 victory! Lunch in the Oakley before the game.
Tuesday 28th July. Villa’s friendly against Real Sociadad on a warm night with Dave at Bescot stadium. Yak dinner at the Park Inn before the match!
